有兩點,李日新嘅評論極其準確,一個做過 Transport for London司機,亦做過巴士公司高層嘅人,佢嘅觸覺至今仍然係無可取代。

If the witnesses on the bus are to be believed, a contributory cause of the accident may have been the hostility shown by some passengers towards the driver because he set off from Shatin Racecourse 10’ late. This seems to have enraged the driver to the extremes of his tolerance with such unfortunate consequences. Whatever the provocation, the bus driver should have maintained his cool or, have refused to depart until assistance had been forthcoming. The hostile passenger too, must be held to account.

大家仲記得有熱血公民嘅廢人,喺銅鑼灣阻止巴士開出果鋪,巴士公司對於一啲唔守規矩嘅乘客,特別係滋擾行車果啲,應該係趕佢地出車,如果唔肯落車就等差人嚟,依家香港人唔好再話call警察係嘥時間,有啲刁民乘客,特別喺辱罵司機嘅乘客,係應該特別處置,否則呢個係危害公共安全,喺英國,一早當anti-social behavior處理。

肇事司機駕駛態度唔好係梗,但李日新提起德國之翼9525空難(Germanwings-Flug 9525),呢件事,係警惕。德國之翼9525空難,同日本航空350空難一樣,機師精神有問題導致死傷慘重嘅空難。我相信當時司機嘅精神狀態,係必須調查,特別有無其他精神疾病,呢個都係一個關鍵。當時乘客辱罵會否trigger咗司機一啲精神病患,然後導致大慘劇發生,呢個可能性係十分之值得探討。

都係果句,職業司機係有必要作出例行嘅精神狀態檢查,有部分大型車輛,如果出現心理問題,就唔可以揸,我相信係一個可行嘅方向。當然,唔係有人short咗都係咁易事前睇到,正如Lufthansa嘅Manager都估唔到機師搞蓄意自殺,全車陪葬嘅事件。有時候,香港傳媒有責任俾番啲有營養嘅討論。我唔想乜嘢巴士車禍再搵政客同盧覺強俾啲廢到唔廢嘅評論。
